Classy 97 Family Feud: Is It The Thought That Counts
From May 8, 2019
Dear Nelson & Liza,
My in-laws like to shop on the internet. They buy a lot of things that they don’t need and never use. Then they give those things to my husband as gifts. He knows they are just things from around the house that turned out to be useless. They’ve given him an electric knife, a blanket with a bald eagle on it and a craft kit that my Mother-In-Law obviously ordered and never did anything with. The expression “it’s the thought that counts” doesn’t apply here, because they aren’t being thoughtful. They’re just handing off their junk to my dear husband who deserves better. Should I say something, because he definitely won’t.
