Classy 97 Family Feud: Refund Responsibilites
From February 6, 2019
Dear Classy 97,
My sister told me that she and her husband are getting a pretty substantial tax refund this year. They’ve had a difficult year financially and I know they have relied, heavily, on their credit cards. My sister is planning to use the refund to catch up and make large payments on those debts. Yesterday my Brother-In-Law told me he purchased an all inclusive vacation for the two of them, because she deserves it after a tough year. On the one hand, he’s right. A vacation would be great for the two of them. But I think she’s going to flip when she finds out they can’t use that money to pay the credit cards. What should I do?
