Classy 97 Family Feud: Should The Rules Apply To Everyone

From February 17, 2021

Dear Liza,
We are having some trouble with our teenage son and because of that, we’ve made some family rules about online passwords and locked phones. My wife created one password for the whole family to use on all social media platforms and no one is allowed to lock their phones. This is family wide – all 4 of our kids and Mom and Dad too.
At first I thought it was a good idea but a few weeks later I’ve started to feel uncomfortable with this. I don’t want my kids to read my messages on Facebook or be able to pick up my phone and scroll through my pictures. I think we should revise the rule to only apply to the son that’s been in trouble lately, not to everyone across the board.
Is this fair?
