Mike & Liza’s Family Feud: Demanding Diner

From April 25, 2018

Dear Mike & Liza,

When my wife and I go out to eat, she orders things that aren’t on the menu. She will make so many changes and substitutions to the menu item, that it becomes a whole new thing. She ordered a pasta dish, minus the sauce, plus grilled chicken. The waiter told her they didn’t offer a grilled chicken pasta dish and she insisted the cook could make it because “they have all the ingredients.” I think it’s extremely rude to the establishment and extremely embarrassing to me. Do you think it’s appropriate to make very specific food demands when you go out to eat?
